We are looking for a Solution Engineer for DonorDrive Social Fundraising software and related services. The Solution Engineer is a versatile role and instrumental in assisting our Product, Sales, and Client Services teams. As a Solution Engineer, you will work with our Product Manager to learn our products inside and out, and ensure that our teams are successful in creating, selling, and supporting them.

Responsibilities

  • Become an expert on our industry, products, and services
  • Understand competitive landscape of the nonprofit technology industry
  • Assist in collecting, organizing, and responding to product feedback
  • Assist in product releases, documentation
  • Help identify market requirements and opportunities to improve processes and products
  • Analyze product and market data to identify trends and statistics
  • Research and understand usability issues and opportunities
  • Provide consulting to internal stakeholders, prospects, clients, and partners
  • Assist our Sales team with RFPs, presentations, and demonstrations
  • Communicate and demonstrate our products, their benefits, and differentiators

Critical Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Great presentation skills to small and large audiences
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Working knowledge of Web technology — HTML, CSS, jQuery, programming languages, relational databases (enough to tinker or be dangerous but responsible enough to know better)
  • Ability to gather, organize, and communicate technical requirements
  • Strong organizational skills
  • High level of initiative and ability to GTD
  • Understanding of usability on the Web

Requirements

  • Working toward or earned BS/BA in Information Technology/Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 1 to 4 years experience in technology project management, sales, support or related field
  • Experience working with developers and interactive designers

Bonus Points

  • Experience with agile software development
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics or other analytics packages
  • Experience creating/selling/marketing/supporting software or SaaS products
  • Experience in the nonprofit industry
  • You're good at volleyball & can help our team win more than two games a season
